The Junts candidate for the Presidency of the Generalitat, Carles Puigdemont, responded this Monday to the leader of the National Group, Marine Le Pen, who will stand up to “all attempts to apply Francoist laws that prevent freedom of movement for European citizens.”
He said this in an article in X collected by Europa Press, after Le Pen stated that Puigdemont's situation “will not last long” if she wins the elections in France.
Le Pen has said verbatim that Puigdemont, from the French town of Argelès-sur-Mer, “humiliates France” because he points them out as a reference place for criminals.
Puigdemont has criticized the words of the French politician, whom he has accused of acting as "a puppet of the Francoists of Vox."
In fact, the former Catalan president has ironically stated that he learned Le Pen's words while he was in Paris.
